The Virginia Symphony seeks a talented and dynamic conductor to lead a significant number of its classical, pops, and educational performances. This individual should have substantial experience conducting professional level orchestras. Thorough knowledge of symphonic repertoire and concert programming is required.

Leading candidates will have imagination, vision, leadership (on and off the podium), and a deep-rooted passion for orchestral music and education. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional oral and written communication skills in the English language. The candidate should be personable and able to create an environment that is conducive to open and direct communication.

The successful candidate should possess exceptional organizational skills and should be able to manage multiple concert cycles simultaneously.

Part-Time Teleservices Representatives

The Virginia Symphony Orchestra is seeking teleservice representatives to make outbound phone calls for fundraising, ticket and subscription sales. This is an hourly position with the ability to earn commission and bonuses. All representatives will be trained to use an appropriate calling script, but must be able to control a telephone conversation in a courteous and relaxed manner and feel comfortable representing the VSO while asking for a financial commitment.
