Virginia Symphony Orchestra and Virginia Arts Festival celebrate Rachmaninoff’s 150th birthday.
Be part of a once in a lifetime event as Van Cliburn Gold Medal-awarded pianist Olga Kern, the Virginia Arts Festival Connie & Marc Jacobson Director of Chamber Music, joins the Virginia Symphony Orchestra in a monumental achievement. As part of a worldwide celebration of the composer’s 150th birthday, Kern will perform all five of Rachmaninoff’s powerful piano concertos in a single weekend.
Known around the world for her virtuosity and thrilling stage presence, Kern counts these works among her earliest and most beloved memories. With her deep connection to the music and lineage to the composer, this weekend will be unforgettable.
