HAMPTON ROADS, VA [MARCH 15, 2018] – The Virginia Symphony Orchestra will present the POPS season finale concert, The Music of John Williams, at Chrysler Hall on Saturday, March 24 at 8 p.m.
Resident Conductor Benjamin Rous will lead the orchestra through this high-energy program.
A POPS audience favorite, John Williams has the uncanny ability to transport audiences to new worlds through heart-pounding, awe-inspiring musical adventures. He has composed some of the most popular and recognizable film scores in the history of cinema, including Indiana Jones, Schindler’s List, Jurassic Park, and most notably Star Wars, which was selected by the American Film Institute as the greatest American film score of all time. Acquired over a career spanning six decades, Williams holds the record for most Oscar nominations (50) for a living person.
