This fall, the Virginia Symphony Orchestra will give a musical treatment to tales of spells and magical youth. The VSO has announced that it will perform “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” at Chrysler Hall in Norfolk on Nov. 25.
The concert will feature the orchestra performing John Williams’ majestic score as the movie plays on a 40-foot high-definition screen. Tickets go on sale on Aug. 11 at 10 a.m. at virginiasymphony.org and ticketmaster.com, the VSO box office or Scope box office, and by calling 757-892-6366 or 800-745-3000.
The event is part of a global concert tour put on by CineConcerts and Warner Bros. Consumer that will include hundreds of performances across more than 35 countries through 2018.
