Communications Manager
The Virginia Symphony Orchestra is seeking a Communications Manager. This position reports to the Director of Diversity and Engagement and works collaboratively with all Virginia Symphony Orchestra (VSO) departments. The employee is responsible for designing, creating and deploying strategic communications through multiple channels that positions the Virginia Symphony Orchestra as a community-focused organization. The Communications Manager will also establish internal communications and oversee media relations, publications, and all communications efforts needed to amplify the VSO’s mission. The Communications Manager will ensure that there is a broad representation of ALL VSO components to external constituents to tell the whole VSO story.

Staff Accountant
The Virginia Symphony Orchestra (VSO) is seeking a full-time Accountant who reports directly to the CFO. Primary responsibilities include payroll, benefit administration, accounts payable, daily deposit reconciliation and recording of month-end journal entries. The ideal candidate is a highly organized individual with a positive attitude, who combines their knowledge and love of accounting with a desire for helpful and regular interaction with our employees.

Institutional Relations Manager
This role is a key team member, responsible for effectively telling the VSO’s unique story of artistic engagement and community engagement throughout our region to generate awareness of and attract funding for our forward-thinking mission. The team member will work alongside a highly motivated team of Development professionals and serve as a creative force to further the VSO’s mission as one of the foundational arts organizations in Hampton Roads.

The Virginia Symphony Orchestra is seeking students who are pursuing a degree in Education or the Performing Arts with a career orientation or personal interest in arts administration and education.
This internship opportunity offers hands-on experience in a variety of areas related to music education, performing arts, and arts administration. Candidates must have strong organizational skills and be able to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
