Recognized as a primal artistic force of the 20th century alongside Picasso, James Joyce, Stravinsky, and Frank Lloyd Wright, Martha Graham transformed the art of dance. Recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and National Medal of Arts, she created 181 ballets and inspired choreographers who would go on to shape the next century of dance. TIME magazine named Martha Graham “Dancer of the Century,” and People magazine named her among the female “Icons of the Century.” Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Martha Graham Dance Company and the 80th Anniversary of Appalachian Spring in a performance that reveals the genius in every move!
